Description
The Velodyne Acoustics VI‑Q 15 is the flagship 15‑inch model from the VI‑Q series, designed to deliver precise, powerful bass in a compact sealed cabinet. It features a lightweight carbon-fiber cone paired with a large 3″ voice coil to maintain low distortion even at high excursions. A highly efficient Class-D amplifier provides up to 650 W RMS (1,200 W peak), driven by a switching power supply using 2 × 25 A / 650 V MOSFETs.
Connectivity is versatile — the unit supports Gold-plated RCA (Stereo / LFE), Nickel XLR inputs, and high-level speaker inputs, along with corresponding RCA and XLR outputs for daisy chaining. The solid front baffle, made from 21-layer plywood with a thickness of 50 mm, ensures mechanical strength and excellent control.
Through the iWoofer™ mobile app, users get full DSP control with room calibration, a 25-band parametric EQ, and presets. A power selector (Off / Auto / On) adds flexibility. The compact cabinet (48 × 48 × 56 cm) makes placement easier, while the substantial 15″ driver (with triple-vented basket) and robust motor ensure deep, stable bass.
