The Genelec 8331 is a highly sophisticated point-source, near-field monitor designed for professional audio applications. Its coaxial construction integrates the midrange driver, tweeter, and dual 5.1” woofers into a single location, perfectly aligning their acoustical axes to provide an accurate point of sonic radiation. The 8331 can handle both analog and digital AES/EBU signals, automatically detecting and optimizing audio inputs via Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) technology. With Genelec’s GLM (Genelec Loudspeaker Manager) software, users can finely tune multiple monitors to their room acoustics, manage daisy-chaining, and override the ISS function, providing unparalleled flexibility and control.

For offline use, the 8331 features DIP switches and a level rotary control on the rear panel, alongside a reflex port that enhances low-end response. The included Iso-Pod stand isolates the monitor from undesirable surface vibrations, while the design’s acoustically concealed woofers and proprietary waveguide ensure a uniform frequency response across the listening area.
