What Is WIDI?
WIDI is a wireless standard for transmitting full MIDI data over Bluetooth. Thanks to smart algorithms such as Adaptive Frequency Hopping, WIDI ensures optimized performance. Boasting only 3 ms of latency and superior data transmission speeds compared to traditional cables, WIDI supports all MIDI messages and offers full bidirectional transmission and reception capabilities.
How It Works
Simply plug WIDIFLEX into your device’s MIDI DIN sockets. For MIDI-to-MIDI connections, use a pair of WIDIFLEX adapters. Automatic pairing connects the devices, allowing full bidirectional MIDI data transmission. For computer-to-MIDI connections, WIDIFLEX pairs with macOS and iOS devices using built-in Bluetooth.
Create WIDI Groups
Form WIDI groups containing up to five Bluetooth MIDI devices, managed through the free WIDI app available on iOS and Android. The app supports group auto-learn mode and setup storage for easy recall.
Create Fixed Pairs
Establish fixed pairs for consistent connections when working with multiple wireless MIDI setups. These connections restore automatically upon power-up.
Compatibility
The WIDIFLEX is compatible with all WIDI products, Bluetooth MIDI controllers, and devices running macOS 10.10 or later, including iPhones and iPads with Bluetooth 4.0 or later.
