The SM27 is a rugged, versatile large-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone designed for both stage and studio use. Engineered with a low-mass large Mylar® diaphragm, this microphone delivers superior transient response and a flat, neutral frequency response for natural sound reproduction. The uniform cardioid polar pattern offers excellent off-axis rejection, ensuring that unwanted noise is minimized. Three layers of durable metal mesh construction effectively reduce wind and breath noise. The SM27 also features a 3-position low-frequency filter to help manage background noise and a 15dB pad to handle high SPL sources with consistent performance.
